Dear All Saints Families,

As the school year comes to a close, our minds and hearts are filled to the brim.  It’s been a great year and All Saints Catholic School is a great school!  Together we’ve learned much and shared experiences that will remain with us in the years to come.  The strength of our community and wholehearted passion to make our school a wonderful place of learning for our children primarily but for all of us makes All Saints Catholic School truly a special place.

Special thanks to all of you who have contributed in ways small, large and unimaginable!  Organizing at events, working at these events, showing up to support your children, serving on committees, sharing your talents, supporting our work in countless ways and providing the resources to do what we dream and know what is good for children are just some examples of how you have helped us.  Thanks for getting your kids to school on time each day, for kind notes of encouragement that mean so much, for making sure homework gets done…and turned in.  The most important way you have helped us is your continued prayer for All Saints Catholic School.   For these and a million other things, we are truly grateful.

To those of you who are leaving us for new places and adventures, we wish you all the best.  Congratulations to our very capable 8th graders who are onto a new stage in their academic career!

Also we wish the best to Deb Frick who is also retiring after teaching at All Saints Catholic School for 20 years.    She has certainly been a wonderful gift to us throughout the years.  We want to thank Rose Miller who has been our bookkeeper at All Saints Catholic School for 14 years.  Rose is retiring and moving to Florida.    We are also saying farewell to Donny Linnenkamp our long time crossing guard, who has worked so hard to keep our children safe.  Donny is also retiring.

We are also so excited to announce that All Saints Catholic School has received a $62,073 grant from the Scott County Regional Authority.  We will be having a zSpace Virtual and Augmented Reality Learning Lab at All Saints Catholic School!  We will be giving you more information as we get closer to the beginning of the 2018-19 school year but believe me this is very, very exciting learning opportunity for our student’s grades 2-8.  Our students Grades K-5 will be having all new Reading Curriculum and Grades K-8 will be having all new Science Curriculum for the coming school year.  Can you tell that I am very excited?!!  We are able to purchase this new curriculum due to a gift from Monsignor Morrissey’s estate.

Just so you can plan ahead…the first day of school begins on August 23 for K-8th. Preschool will begin on August 27th. We will be having a Pre-School Parent Meeting on August 20 at 6:00 pm if your child is enrolled in either of the morning sessions.  Afternoon Preschool Parents should come on August 22 at 6:00 pm. Our Kindergarten Parent Meeting will be on August 9 from 6pm-7pm while our Unpack Your Backpack night is August 21 from 4:30-6pm.  Also on August 21, we will be having an 8th Grade Parent Meeting from 6:00-6:30pm. I am so happy to be the Principal of All Saints Catholic School!  This school is amazing and so are all of you!

God Bless You.
